		NIPPON CINEMA 2009 has been a very successful year for the Japanese film  industry with nearly 450 domestic films being released in Japan, with a market  share of over 56 percent. On the other hand it has been a difficult year for  smaller companies having a hard time distributing independent or arthouse  films. Still, the diversity of the films is dazzling and NIPPON CINEMA presents  a selection of the best works from the entire spectrum of Japanese film.
